Who is Project Mobility?
Project Mobility is the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization of The Bike Rack in St. Charles. Our mission is to provide the freedom of mobility to children, adults and wounded soldiers with disabilities through adaptive cycling.
We have had a very busy and rewarding year! We gave away 12 adaptive bikes to children, adults and wounded soldiers! We supported 15 soldier rides with wounded veterans. We are very appreciative to be a part of these rides. We get to give some freedom back to the individuals who fought for our freedom. We feel it is the least we can do to show our support for those who have served and risked their lives for us. The Project Mobility Crew also provided 47 adaptive bike days and in-services with many different disability organizations, hospitals and schools across the country. We went to 19 different states and traveled 24,336 miles so far this year!
We were able to give the freedom of mobility to many amazing people! Here are a few stories.
Junior: A father who ended up in a wheelchair from getting shot protecting his daughter.
Avery: A child with such a rare gene mutation only 4.5 people out of 10
million world-wide have it.
Tynan: A child that was almost 5 years old that underwent an anatomical left hemispherectomy, in which surgeons removed the left side of his brain.
For 2019 we want to top those numbers and need your help! Hops for Hope 5K will help us reach their goal by starting the year off right!
This year we are raising money for Nick
